Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma delivered another unforgettable Saturday night of racing on June 27, 2026. With an absolutely stacked pit area featuring 134 competitors across six racing divisions, including a special visit from the POWRi West Midget League, the fans in attendance were treated to some of the best short-track action the micro sprint world has to offer.
From the youngest guns in Junior Sprints to the seasoned veterans battling in A-Class and Non-Wing, here is a breakdown of the drivers who found victory lane on a night that will not soon be forgotten.
A-Class Micros: Frank Flud Takes the win
When you talk about micro sprint royalty, Frank Flud’s name is always in the conversation, and Saturday night was a reminder of exactly why. Starting third in the 25-lap A-Class feature, Flud methodically worked his way to the front and drove away from the field for a convincing victory. Behind him, Kris Carroll put together a phenomenal charge from the 14th starting position to claim the runner-up spot, a drive that foreshadowed what was to come later in the evening. Josh Marcham held strong in third, while Cody Barnes and Jase Blevins rounded out the top five. The 20-car field provided intense racing throughout, but Flud’s experience and precision proved to be the difference.
Non-Wing Micros: Carroll Gets His Turn on Top
If finishing second in A-Class lit a fire under Kris Carroll, it showed in the Non-Wing feature. Carroll started third and drove a masterful 25-lap race to capture the victory in what many considered the most competitive class of the night. Frank Flud, pulling double duty, charged from sixth to finish second, making it clear that these two are the class of the field right now. Justin Robison completed the podium in third, while Ryker Morrow impressed with a drive from 10th to fourth. Shawn Wicker rounded out the top five after starting 12th, proving that the Non-Wing division rewards patience and racecraft.
Restricted Micros: Azlyn Goodwin Shines Bright
The Restricted class continues to showcase the incredible depth of young talent coming through the micro sprint ranks, and Saturday night belonged to Azlyn Goodwin. Starting third, Goodwin took command early and held off all challengers over 20 laps to earn the feature victory. Ryker Jones delivered the drive of the night in this class, slicing through the 20-car field from 12th to finish second. Brooks Buoy completed the podium in third, while Eli Potter and Tommy Holt, who charged from 16th, rounded out the top five.
Junior Sprints: Lucito Leads From the Drop
In the Junior Sprint division, Giovanni Lucito made it look easy. Starting from the pole position, Lucito led all 20 laps to capture the feature win in dominant fashion. Grayson Logan kept him honest in second, while Brody Lewis delivered an impressive run from 13th to claim the final podium spot. Bentley Thompson advanced from 11th to fourth, and Brex Woods completed the top five. The Junior Sprint class fielded 18 competitors, a testament to the growing pipeline of young talent at Port City Raceway.
Sportsman Micros: Shelly Ward Goes Wire-to-Wire
Shelly Ward took full advantage of the pole position in the Sportsman class, leading every lap of the 20-lap feature for a well-earned victory. Bobby McIntosh kept the pressure on throughout but had to settle for the runner-up position. Brad Best worked his way from fourth to complete the podium, while Mekentzi Potter and Chris Stowe rounded out the top five. The Sportsman division continues to provide a great proving ground for drivers looking to sharpen their skills before moving up the ranks.
POWRi West Midget League: Kale Drake Steals the Show
The visiting POWRi West Midget League added an extra layer of excitement to an already loaded card, and Kale Drake made the most of the opportunity. Starting sixth in the 25-lap feature, Drake steadily picked his way through the field before taking the lead and driving away for the victory. Brecken Reese finished a strong second after leading early from the outside of the front row, while Trey Marcham delivered an impressive charge from 11th to claim the final podium position. Andrew Felker and Bradley Fezard completed the top five in a class that featured some of the region’s most talented open-wheel drivers.
